Handmade custom lingerie made from up cycled materials created in 2015 to be part of Briell Giancola's BFA Thesis Exhibition.
My work is a lens and a record. It is both memory and history; the past, present, and future. Through careful material investigation, layers of visual and conceptual content build up. The result is a spatial memory and residue which addresses an awareness of liminal space. I use found and created objects, images, materials, and happenings and do not limit myself to any one technique or medium.
I rely on concept to drive the work and to help apply a relatable, yet unspecified, context and history. It is a collaboration of my own collection and intuition. My work is fueled by my desire to open the space between asleep and awake, a threshold that visually and conceptually reflects altered perception and personal experience.
